Privacy and cookies
What happens to your details when you get in touch through this website. Written in plain English, because it is meant to be read.
Who we are
Reggie T Landscapes Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15496162. Registered office: Unit 4 Plawsworth Road, Sacriston, Durham DH7 6JX. We are the data controller for anything you send us through this website. You can reach us on 07774 732804 or at reggietlandscapes@gmail.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form or send us yourself: your name, your phone number, your email address if you give one, your organisation if you give one, and what you tell us about the site and the work.
Nothing on this website collects information about you in the background unless you press Accept on the cookie bar. The next section explains exactly what that switches on.
Why we hold it
To ring you back about your site, price the work and carry it out. That is the only reason. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you sent us.
Who sees it
Reggie T Landscapes, and nobody else. The form on this site is delivered by Charmpages, who build and look after the website, and it goes straight to the Reggie T Landscapes email inbox. We never sell your details, we never pass them to anyone for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Cookies and tracking
When you first visit, a bar at the bottom of the screen asks whether you accept cookies. Until you press Accept, nothing from Google or any other third party loads on any page.
- Your choice itself is saved in your browser so the bar does not ask again. This is needed for the site to respect your answer and is not shared with anyone.
- The Google map on the home page is only loaded if you press Accept or press Show the map. Google sets its own cookies when the map loads.
- Google Ads measurement. When we run Google adverts, a Google Ads tag is used to count whether an advert led to an enquiry or a phone call. It loads only after you press Accept. It is not used to show you adverts elsewhere.
If you press No thanks, none of that loads and any Google cookie left from an earlier visit is deleted. You can change your mind at any time with the link at the bottom of every page.
The web server also keeps a short technical log of requests, including the IP address they came from, purely to keep the site running and secure.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are clearly not going anywhere. Where we have done the work, we keep the paperwork for as long as we need it for our records and for tax, which is normally six years.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ring or email and we will sort it, always within a month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Other websites
Where we link out, for example to our Google listing, that site has its own privacy policy and this one does not cover it.
