Who we work for

Built around the people who sign off the grounds

Most of the business is contract work on sites the public see every day. These are the four kinds of client it is set up for.

account_balance Parish and town councils Recreation grounds, verges and the open spaces residents notice first, on a schedule the clerk can put in front of the council.
apartment Managing agents and managed estates Communal lawns, boundary hedges and shrub beds on residential estates and blocks, kept to the frequency the service charge is paying for.
business Commercial property managers Business park frontages and industrial units, where the grounds are the first thing a tenant or a visitor sees.
school Schools and care homes Grounds that have to stay safe and tidy while people are using them every day, with the work planned around that.

What a contract covers

Everything outside the building, on one schedule

One contractor for the whole site rather than a grass firm, a hedge firm and somebody else for the leaves. The frequency is set to the site, not to a standard round.

FAQs

Before a contract gets signed off

The questions a clerk or a managing agent asks first. If yours is not here, ask on the call.

What documents can you provide before we commit?expand_more
Insurance details, risk assessments, method statements and references, all on request. Company details are public: Reggie T Landscapes Limited, registered in England and Wales, number 15496162, registered office Unit 4 Plawsworth Road, Sacriston, Durham DH7 6JX.
How often would you visit?expand_more
It changes through the year rather than staying fixed. Fortnightly from the first cut in spring, moving to every seven to ten days through peak growth in June and July, then easing off into autumn. The schedule is agreed and written down before the first visit.
Can you look after more than one site?expand_more
Yes. Tick multiple sites on the form and say which ones, and a schedule is written for each.
When can hedges be cut?expand_more
Autumn and winter, once the bird nesting season has finished. Active nests are protected by law and the nesting season runs from roughly March to August, so hedge work is planned around it rather than squeezed in. If something has to be cut inside that window for a genuine safety reason, the hedge is checked for nests first.
What happens to the green waste?expand_more
It is taken off site and disposed of responsibly rather than piled at the boundary. Wildflower meadow arisings are cut and collected rather than left, because leaving them enriches the soil and the flowers stop coming back.
Do you cover Newcastle as well as Durham?expand_more
Yes. Newcastle is one of the areas we cover, along with Durham and the rest of the North East. There is more on our Newcastle page.
