Darlington

The furthest south we go, and worth the trip

Darlington has its own council. Darlington Borough Council has been a unitary council since 1997, separate from Durham County Council, even though the town is still part of County Durham for ceremonial purposes. The Borough Council looks after its own 16 parks and 10 nature reserves, with South Park and West Park both holding Green Flags.

What that leaves is a lot of privately owned ground. Faverdale, Morton Park, North Road and the Cleveland Trading Estate are full of units with frontages and verges to keep. Commercial and industrial grounds are the main part of our business, which makes Darlington a good fit.

We are based at Unit 4 Plawsworth Road in Sacriston, about 20 miles north of the town centre. The distance is planned into the round, and Reggie still runs every contract himself.

home Homeowners Lawns, hedges, turfing, fencing and garden tidy ups for houses in Darlington. The business is mostly commercial, but domestic work is taken on too.

FAQs

Darlington questions

Ask Reggie directly if yours is not covered.

Is Darlington covered by Durham County Council?expand_more
No. Darlington has its own unitary council, Darlington Borough Council, and has done since 1997. It is still part of County Durham for ceremonial purposes. None of that changes our service: we work for private owners, managing agents and parish councils in the borough just the same.
Darlington is 20 miles from your base. Will the service suffer?expand_more
No. Visits are planned into a round, so a Darlington site gets the frequency written in its schedule like any other. Darlington is the southern edge of the area we cover.
Do you work on Faverdale and the other industrial estates?expand_more
Yes. Commercial and industrial grounds are the main part of the business, so unit frontages, verges and boundary hedges are exactly what we are set up for.
How often would you visit?expand_more
It changes through the year rather than staying fixed. Fortnightly from the first cut in spring, moving to every seven to ten days through peak growth in June and July, then easing off into autumn. The schedule is agreed and written down before the first visit.
What documents can you provide before we commit?expand_more
Insurance details, risk assessments, method statements and references, all on request. Company details are public: Reggie T Landscapes Limited, registered in England and Wales, number 15496162, registered office Unit 4 Plawsworth Road, Sacriston, Durham DH7 6JX.
