Leaf clearance, wildflower meadows and drainage checks

The grounds work that only makes sense at the right time of year, for councils, managing agents and commercial sites across County Durham and Newcastle. Done when it matters, not when it is convenient.

Who it is for

Sites where timing is the whole job

Leaves, meadows and drainage all go wrong in the same way: somebody does the work in the wrong month. These are the sites that feel it most.

account_balance Parish and town councils Footpaths, recreation grounds and meadow areas the public use and comment on, planned into the year rather than done when someone complains.
apartment Managing agents and managed estates Estate paths clear of leaves in autumn, meadow patches that come back every year, and swales that do what they were built to do.
business Commercial and industrial sites Entrances, steps and car parks kept clear through leaf fall, the most common slip hazard on any maintained site.
school Schools and care homes Walkways that people use every day, cleared first, with the open grass left until last.

What it covers

Three jobs, each with its own season

Leaf clearance for safety, meadows for wildlife, drainage so the same corner stops flooding every winter.

When in the year

The right job in the right month

Each of these goes on the written schedule for the month it belongs in, so nothing is left to catch up later.

local_florist June to August Wildflower meadows are left standing. They are supposed to look untidy in July, and cutting them now defeats the point of having them.
directions_walk September to November Leaf clearance, prioritised by risk. The meadow is cut and the arisings collected, so the soil stays low in nutrients and the flowers come back.
water_drop December to February Swales and drainage are inspected when the site is wettest, which is the only time you learn anything from them.

Who schedules it

Reggie Tribuisis

Director, Reggie T Landscapes Ltd

Reggie has 15 years in the trade and set the company up in 2024. He writes the seasonal work into the schedule himself and is on site while it is done, so the meadow is not cut in July by someone who has never seen it.

“Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for gardening works!” Jaydon Childs, Google review. Every review on the profile is five stars.

FAQs

Leaves, meadows and swales

The questions that come up about the seasonal work. If yours is not here, ask on the call.

Which areas get cleared of leaves first?expand_more
Entrances, walkways, steps and car parks, because leaf fall on a walkway is the most common slip hazard on a maintained site. Open grass is cleared last.
Why is the wildflower meadow left looking untidy in summer?expand_more
Because that is what a meadow is for. It is left standing through June to August and cut in autumn. Cutting it in July defeats the point of having it.
What happens to the green waste?expand_more
It is taken off site and disposed of responsibly rather than piled at the boundary. Wildflower meadow arisings are cut and collected rather than left, because leaving them enriches the soil and the flowers stop coming back.
Why inspect swales and drainage in winter?expand_more
The site is wettest in winter, which is the only time an inspection tells you anything. Drainage that has silted up or grassed over is why the same corner floods every year.
What documents can you provide before we commit?expand_more
Insurance details, risk assessments, method statements and references, all on request. Company details are public: Reggie T Landscapes Limited, registered in England and Wales, number 15496162, registered office Unit 4 Plawsworth Road, Sacriston, Durham DH7 6JX.
