Newton Aycliffe

A planned town with a very big business park

Newton Aycliffe was founded in 1947 under the New Towns Act, which makes it the oldest new town in the north of England. To the south of it sits Aycliffe Business Park, which now covers around 400 hectares and holds more than 500 companies.

That business park is why this page exists. Unit frontages, landscaped entrances, car park islands and boundary hedges are the everyday work of commercial grounds maintenance, and it is the work Reggie prefers. A unit that looks cared for from the road does its owner a favour every time a customer or a new starter pulls in.

The houses changed too. The town began as mostly public housing and much of it is privately owned now, with Woodham built as private housing from the late 1970s. We are based at Unit 4 Plawsworth Road in Sacriston, about 14 miles north.

FAQs

Newton Aycliffe questions

Anything not covered, just ask on the call.

Do you look after units on Aycliffe Business Park?expand_more
Yes, that is exactly the kind of site we are set up for. Commercial and industrial grounds are the main part of the business, and a unit gets its own written schedule.
We rent our unit. Can we still take out a contract?expand_more
Yes. Tenants, owners and property managers can all arrange it. If the landlord looks after the grounds, we can quote them instead.
How often would you visit?expand_more
It changes through the year rather than staying fixed. Fortnightly from the first cut in spring, moving to every seven to ten days through peak growth in June and July, then easing off into autumn. The schedule is agreed and written down before the first visit.
What documents can you provide before we commit?expand_more
Insurance details, risk assessments, method statements and references, all on request. Company details are public: Reggie T Landscapes Limited, registered in England and Wales, number 15496162, registered office Unit 4 Plawsworth Road, Sacriston, Durham DH7 6JX.
Who would we be dealing with?expand_more
Reggie Tribuisis, the director. He provides direct oversight on every contract.
